Wednesday evening I attended the 2nd Annual Halo Awards brought to you by TeenNick. What an amazing way to show appreciation for teenagers who are clearly making a difference in their communities here in the U.S. and abroad.

When Halo Awards host Nick Cannon calls on his celebrity friends to acknowledge several forward thinking teens who are changing the world, they show up. Mary J Blige, Serena Williams, Heidi Klum and several others showed up in support of Nick’s movement, while he gave away a little over $120k to these Halo Honorees.

Not sure how many details I can give seeing the show hasn’t aired yet, but it’s definitely going to move a nation of teens and possibly inspire them to become leaders for their peers.

The TeenNick Halo Awards will air at 8pm ET on November 6th, 2011 on Nick @ Nite.
