This eve I had the opportunity to speak at Millersville University in Pennsylvania. The students filled the hall in anticipation of not only hearing me speak, but also getting credit for being present. That’s a sure way to get a packed house.

I spoke of many things tonight in hopes of helping students see that their dreams are not to be understood by others. Their dreams are to be lived out and pursued in spite of all the nay-sayers. I spoke of my love for hip-hop and the differences between then and now. I shared how radio really works, and how if they want to feel enlightened through hip-hop they’d have to find that type of music themselves because no one is going to hand it to them.

Overall it was a great way to connect with that generation and I can only hope that one person was inspired and stimulated to do more and be greater.
